36

36 weeks and counting... :) I can't hardly wait!

It’s week 36 and it seems as though Baby has developed in the merest blink of an eye -- and this week, that’s what he’s doing: blinking! He’s practicing, just as he has been practicing swallowing and breathing.

Your little genius is also well on his way to achieving that telethon-worthy goal of 100 billion neurons as his brain continues its rapid development.

And proving he's more than just all brains, he's quite the looker. He’s finally plump enough to be officially out of raisin stage -- he even has little dimples on his elbows! (source: http://www.epregnancy.com)

From This Moment

You guys are probably wondering why am I putting up this pic. So am I, honest. Probably this is triggered by shania twains's song that keeps on playing in my head since early morning. It gives me the urge to pen down my thoughts on marriage. The good and the bad. And now that it is the school holiday, arent you guys swamped with wedding invitations?? :) I love weddings. I love the good food, I love seeing the happy faces, I love the decor, and most importantly knowing that is the happiest day for the couple, is simply overwhelming. Like seeing a rainbow over mountains, with crystal clear waterfalls flowing underneath. Cold, refreshing, breathtaking sights.

I know I should stop hoping that hubby would be Mr. Lovey Dovey someday. That he'll never be one. Fact is, he is terrible at playing romantic scenes even if he strictly follows the dummy's guide for the anniversary dinner. He is a classic example of a typical malay guy, like those from the hang tuah's era, but living in a contemporary world. Hmm.. please! just dont get the wrong idea, this is not a regret, neither am I complaining.

Just that it'll be our anniversary comes x-mas, and still I have many more to learn about the guy I married 3 years ago. During the entire courtship, I have noticed all along that he is not the kind of guy that would run for the door and open it for you when you are about to enter the car, or even house. Or surprises you with flowers, though he did try it and failed miserably ha ha. That is of course after some of our private Pinocchio-telenovela just that instead of the nose, my pout got longer than the elephant trunk. I told him, u can easily tie a ribbon on my muncung coz dah panjang sgt already. Ha ha. And even with this tragic hu-ha, it didnt stop me from marrying him. I am still very much crazy about him!

Looking back, it has been quite a steep learning curve for both us to work out this marriage. We fought like other couples do, and strangely fell in love all over again. Now that is indeed challenging I must say. I keep pestering him for the honeymoon trip which is overdue for almost 3 years, in fact its going to be baby #2 soon, and yet there is no sign of any plan trip yet. Believe it or not, yes we never quite had that anticipated vacation together. Just the two of us. Maybe we will soon, but now with two daughters in tow next year. Coolness kan :) Having kids in a relationship is the best thing ever. Brought you closer together, and it gives you the strength you would move heaven and earth so that everything is perfect.

However, I will always have this thing to say about marriage. It aint easy, sometimes it makes you want to cry a million tears, but at the same time you just wanna smile, or laugh and most importantly you feel blessed with everything that you have. Funny how it works. But still, u cant get enough of it. Come to think about it, maybe it is because we are constantly looking for something that its not there, but along the way we have forgotten or overlooked on certain matters that are actually the strength in the relationship.

Like for instance, when I said I nearly got ran over by a van yesterday after buying breakfast (preggers can be super duper clumsy during the 3rd trimester u know!), hubby immediately drove me to that same stall again and accompany me for nasi lemak fix this morning. He cannot trust his stubborn and forgetful wife ahaks! And I told him yesterday that my feet hurt so much in the evening, and since my room is the farthest from the office, walking is unbearable (though I know I need to exercise more these days *somebody spank me please!*), so I skipped punching out from the office. He stopped by at the foyer when he fetched me yesterday and said, "tunggu jap ok, biar abg tolong punch". Sweet. Made pool in my eyes. And thinking of the many things he did for me, voluntarily, without having to ask, its just wonderful.

So ladies, sometimes its the smallest thing that matters. Too little for us to see, but send the warm message right through your heart. Like an invisible cupid's arrow. It doesn't have to be that super bling-bling colorful arrow that others would go ga-ga over it when they see it, it is really something that you have to feel yourself, better still w/out the needs of showing it to others. I guess the feelings are not much different for him, he may have other expectations which I have also failed to fulfill as the partner in crime. This is an on-going learning process. Furthermore, I guess its time to see whether we have done our best to be the person that our partner sees us. Hmm..after all, hubby/wifey is the true reflection of ourselves.

Alhamdulillah. 2008 has been a wonderful year, and hoping that it'll be even better next year! :)

p/s: aku kah yang panas, atau air-cond tiada lagi ari nih???

Girls Day Out

Just got back from a quick lunch at 1B with the girls. Its been a while since I last went out with them. Though it was sort of a brief get together, it was nonetheless 'fun'. Hmm.. most importantly, they made me feel younger (at heart ja la). Haha. Oh well, semua anak dara, aku sorang ja mak buyung. Kalau nda buleh juga tumpang sekaki berlakon jadi muda mudi dan made that kinky jelingan manja di sana sini. Kidding ;)

Selalu sgt, I will have lunch with hubby, the convenient of working at the same workplace :) I must say. But of course that routine of ours never restricted his times with his friends to which he will usually spend the AM coffee break with them. And furthermore I do, do appreciate having some precious moments with the girls, just that I feel a little old for them. Obviously, for some odd reasons, the instant feeling of out of place is there. Despite the age gap of 2-3 years, it just felt like I am coming from a decade earlier than them. If they have never heard about McGyver or MsComet series, then that would have confirmed my theory.

The striking difference with going out with married friends is of course on the topic itself which can range from the latest cd collection or everything concerning the kids+family. But of course, I enjoy both company. Married and single friends. I do agree that marriage can certainly change the friendship a bit, to a certain level maybe but as long we know how to fit ourselves in, not quite a big deal really. Kan? :) A contradiction to the previous paragraph. But honestly, this is how I felt.

Over lunch, I reminded them about the sales coinciding with the holiday season. And gaji pon awal juga, plus with the extra kah-cing this month, jgnla kamu lupa utk shop2 till you drop. :) Jgn la tunggu smpi nanti dah beranak pinak k.

Feeling like you need to kick ass this weekend? Layannnn ni... :)

Slow December

December is known to be a slow month with the semester break, and the coming soon festive season. Seeing more of red, white, and green decor at most shopping mall lobby is definitely switching us to holiday mode isnt it. Its time for a break for many of us kan. So, hujung minggu depan mula cuti selama dua minggu. Dah apply. Lama kah tu? Lantakla...So far, I have no plan for any vacation or whatsoever, maybe berehat di rumah ja la. I so needed it. Considering the EDD is fast approaching. :) So sebelum bukak semester baru juga, why not rest at home.

Sekejap ja tuh 2 weeks, before we know it, its already January. The students will be back. And, most importantly, I am turning 30 next year. Gulp..Alamak... Hopefully with less wrinkles (berangan???) but wiser. Buleh ka? He he. Alhamdulillah. Praise the Almighty. Life is indeed beautiful, despite the constant challenges and everything, I am grateful for what I have now. Turning 30, with 2 kids (InsyaAllah) and wonderful hubby, career wise is an A-ok! I couldnt ask for more. But hopefully I can speed up few things come next year :)

Hmm... SKT pon dah siap since last week, cuma masih berkira2 mau hantar.

Isk isk isk.. dah jadi tabiat betul, suka lah hai mengumpul sampah sarap. Especially benda2 kecil, sayang mau buang, takut nanti berguna pula. Last2 bilik mcm landfill. Dgn habuk toksah mau ckpla. I wanted to take some pics and put them in here, but macam kena landa ribut taufan ja bilik. Segan pula. He he

Berkemas sakan? Nesting instinct is it? But apa hal pula di ofis? Mcm kronik sbb kadang2 rasa mau buang semua perabot2 di dalam ofis, semak ja... Harap2 nda la, nanti jenuhla mau mengadap bos pula.

Maybe, sempena tahun baru nih, azam baru jugala. Bersihkan ofis nih, and kerja dgn semangat membara gitu. Ala-ala lagu faizal tahir tuh. Ntah apa tajuk nya, tapi dia tuh talented juga kan. Tak payahla pikirkan pasal masalah attitude dia tuh.

Oh yeah, Raya Haji was fine. Masakla sikit apa2 yg patut, and alhamdulillah berkorban juga tahun ini. Tragedi Bukit Antarabangsa tuh sungguh menginsafkan.

Ok, now back to sorting the papers. Isk..nda pandai abis2, heran juga...

Insiden Di Pagi Jumaat

Semalam, aku pandai-pandai ja mengajar junior aku utk menderhaka dgn cuti mc sahaja. Last2 pagi nih aku pula yang dapat mc. Ha ha...

Alkisahnya, di pagi jumaat yg bening nih, tiba2 jak melayang semangat aku dgn insiden seawal 8.30 tadi di cafe kg E. Dalam tak semena2, setelah membayar di kaunter dan on the way utk menuju ke kereta boleh pulak aku tergolek dok sorang2 di depan mamak roti canai tuh. Adush, dgn pertambahan berat badan melebihi 13 kg sejak pregnant nih mmg confirm la macam nangka busuk ja aku jatuh tadi. Bygkan momentum yg terhasil. Heran juga, padahal slow ja aku berjalan time tuh. Hensem sgt kah macha roti canai tuh sehingga mengganggu konsentrasi aku.

I landed on my tummy. Isk, dalam kepala time tuh, sudah jgnla terberanak di sini. Tolong la! Dalam pening lalat, sempat juga aku senyum2. Gila ka apa. Cover malu bah tuh. Tapi dalam hati risau pula jadi apa2 yg buruk. Syukurla no bleeding whatsoever, considering that cara jatuh and momentum yg drastik tuh. Ala2 ballistic entry angkasawan negara. Ha ha ha (okay exaggerating here). Pastu, cuba bangun sendiri, alamak.. tidak dapat la pulak. I guess maybe I was still very much shocked and pening. Naisb baikla, ada org2 yg kat situ (yg pastinya ramai mengerumuni aku) menolong mengangkat aku yg sama berat dgn seekor anak gajah ni.

Then, duduk sekejap. Hilangkan pening, and cepat2 ciao dari situ. Alhamdulillah, asides from bruises di lutut and lengan, no bleeding or apa2 yg teruk. So, I call hubby bila sampai kereta. Tengah berpikir2 lagi samada mau ke klinik atau tidak. Buleh lagi bah begitu. Ya la, kalau sakit sgt x kan la pulak aku buleh driving lagi. But, just to be sure, kami pon pigi juga to the nearest clinic. I dont like the idea of a male doctor looking at my tummy but what choice do I have. Pigi la juga jumpa Dr. Prem tuh. Scanned the baby and alhamdulillah, the placenta is still intact. Cuma dia pesan, watch out for any sign of bleeding tu jak. And besides, baby is moving well so nothing to worry.

He gave me an mc today, and a complimentary maternity toothpaste too. He he. Bagusla, yg di rumah pon dah abis, mcm tau2 jak dia. Just to console me, maybe. Because with my red nose and swollen eyes he can see clearly I was crying a moment ago. Isk berabis sudah aku lap2 mata and bertenang tadi. Hehe. Maybe I was still in shocked and worried about the baby. Ya lor, thinking about falling flat on my tummy while I am in my 8 mths now is too much for me. He said I should go home and rest. Tapi aku nih nda x reti2 juga...here I am still in the office. Maybe petang nantila pulang, awal sikit.

Bila fikir2 balik, agaknya menimbun sudah dosa aku for the past few weeks nih, tuhla jadi begini. Asyik marah org tuh dan org ini. Students pon nda terkecuali, kesian dorang. Atau pon this is one way of telling me to take a break. I should rest before the anticipated month comes, which is january actually.

Bah mana sudah tuh borang cuti?? Thinking of having a 2 weeks break :) I guess I am prepared to....

Enjoy your weekend friends, and salam aidil adha!!

Of Thursday

I'm done with my paper since last week. Happy since Friday.

However, this week I am receiving numerous amount of forms waiting to be processed by me alone - fyp, plant design, up until the feedback form from students (yg ini pon tak reti2 mau kira sendiri!).

Some were kind enough to process the forms themselves and give the end result to me. I really am grateful for the thoughtfulness. But others, can be so inconsiderate at times. I do not know for how long I can stand all this crap.

Firstly, if they seriously need to dump the forms on me, I do hope that they will do it earlier.

Secondly, I do not really appreciate people putting the stack of forms in my pigeon hole just like that without notifying me or asking me first whether I would be able to help. Especially that feedback forms. I think it is ridiculous if they wanted me to process the forms because they are the ones teaching the course. And some of them have hundreds of students! I think dear boss only wanted me to compile the final result and make the appropriate analysis. Not doing the data entry for everyone. If dear boss is able to do it by himself, I cant see why other people cannot be doing it. In fact, some even requested me to do this for almost every semester! And not even a thank you...hangin juga saya! Minta tlg cover subjek masa saya maternity leave, tak hingin pulak dia!

And I am scratching my head to 're-decorate' the coursework mark of some students. Some are giving me the grades only, I now have to work backwards to fill up the empty spaces in the form so that it'll finally total up to the given grade. Macam-macam ada kan..

Sometimes I just dont get it. Am I the only one that has nothing to do at the workplace. Seriously, at the back of my mind, I really wanted to be more active in doing research, going to conferences, workshops and many things. If only I have more space to breath. Thinking that I am stuck here and playing with the keyboard all day long, while others went for workshops and outstation for a good reason is making me a little blue. Again, if only.

I asked murni and sariah to join me for a workshop next mth somewhere in KK, but apparently there is no budget anymore at the school level. Hmm.. is it so? Ida herself didnt know who will pay for the fees asides from the school. So we have to pay the fees ourselves if we are still interested to go. How-lah? Last time I went for conferences, everything was paid for.

Thank God, there is a seminar held today at the school. The keynote lecture was quite interesting, at least we gain something today. Tak dapat kluar pegi tempat lain pon ok lah. Ditingkat atas pon boleh dapat ilmu lagi. And yesterday, there was also a seminar at the school level (I was involved in it), tu pon only postgrad students who are willing to come. Ya-lah sapa la mau pigi sgt kalau setakat dalam sekolah nih.

Its 15 min past 7 p.m. and I am still at the office. I am sweating like mad, maybe because of this whole thing and suddenly I have no will to keep on punching the numbers on the keyboard. Ah well, no point of getting upset and all, think I should just go home.

Oh ya, btw they sent me another letter today concerning the fees. I have forgotten all about it. Hmm.. Maybe its time to pack my bag and leave on a jet plane. Huhuhu....

All in all, since today I am a little sad (do you think its the hormone that is making me so blue??), I went for a shopping spree at 1B during lunch.... Hehehe....

The first thing I bought is this...(of course la lapar bah! ). I swallowed 4 pieces at one go. Terer tak??? ha ha..

Then, 10 mins later..I bought this..OGAWA Mobile Seat Massage Cushion

And this too...Ogawa Mobile Shiatsu

I can smile now... :)...uuuuuuuuuuuu!!

Nenek Diah

Ma called just now. My neighbour and a distant relative, Nenek Diah passed away this morning. I visited her during raya, and she looked a little pale and was unable to move due to mild stroke.

She was a great cook for the kampung, and she played a big role for my wedding too. I remembered her telling this to me "masin banar bah nasi ayam kamu tuh masa si angah kawin" during my last visit. Sempat lagi tuh komen time2 sakit. :)

Dad went to her house already. I think I 'll probably go home after the plant design viva this morning.

My slides are not ready yet, and I am still studying. Will be bringing some work to be done at home, but I dont think I will touch them anyway. I think I'll just do whatever I need to do tomorrow, regardless of whether I am ready or not.

Hmmm...sometimes we are just so busy mengejar hal-hal duniawi nih, we have forgotten that we are here for a different reason. Right??

Received another call. Its abah. I believed he was hoping that we could go back much earlier. Kejap lagi ya abah.

The Seminar

Apparently we will have the school seminar this Wed, after being postponed for many times. Not exactly at the right time I must say.

The presenters have become less and less as some of the names were not in the list anymore.

I'm not done yet with the slides and furthermore I have to study all over again, which is not something I am willing to do at this very moment. Of all time, why in the midst of the craziness of marking and collecting forms and key-ing the grades of the students. I am not done with plant design viva too...

Kepala saya sudah sakit. Saya sungguh tidak bersedia nih. Then how? Hmm...I just hope I will not make a complete fool of myself on that day. Hmm..Seperti ada siren ambulans di pasang di kepala saya sudah.... Ish ish ishh....I am very very reluctant to do this...

Yayyyy!!!!

There. I'm done marking the exam papers. Phewww!!! Glad that its finally over.

Currently waiting for hubby to fetch me. He is apparently busy with the sukan staf these days after being appointed as the bendahari for the event. Dearest hubby looked so tired when he came to get the notebook from me an hour ago. :(

Hopefully the road should be clear by now. Its almost 5 mins past 8. I am starving. Very hungry I could eat a cow. Hope we can drop by at the nearby restaurant to fill up my growling tummy first before we headed home to papar. It'll be a 1 hr journey, hence an empty tummy would mean a cranky madame. Ha ha...

3 complaints, and still no actions. Hmm..the corridor is still dark and creepy as usual. Okay I am exaggerating about the creepy part. I'll probably need to resort to plan B. That is... bringing this to the office...
P/s: Glad that we did quite 'okay' during the recent EAC torture :) Boss did a great job at making sure that everything is as it should be. Just look at his hair for goodness sake!! Hehe... Credits to everyone in the programme... And the students too of course, u guys rock-lah!!!!!!

Psttt....:)

My hp died on me last week, ah well I should have thought so, after series of tumbling and crashing the phone on the floor by my sweet daughter. Hehe..

Though I dont really use a hp be it at the workplace or home, it wont hurt to get a new one kan hubby...*wink*

So, my specs would be:
  • CHEAP (in capital letter, so u know I am on a tight budget nih!)
  • Simple functions only as I am a very simple person, very happy if the phone can receive or make call/sms. Yes that should be enough for me. I dont even care about mms! Let alone wifi, gprs, bluetooth, or whatever associated with internet
  • PDAs make me confused with the so many functions - dont get me wrong, i think they are cool, but they were not invented for someone so ganas like me.. hehe, i hate loosing the 'pen' also
  • Durable, meaning to say kena baling kaw2 pon masih ok
  • Ok, last but not least...color screen-lah... ha ha ha...
So hubby bought me this!. tadaaaa......Muah2xx!!! Luv u hubby.....Presenting i-mobile tv 626. Its a cheap but fun phone honestly. All I wanted just a simple hp but having an mp3 player, video, camera, and radio all in one gadget is actually nice juga. And it comes with a tv function too. Now, I'll not miss my daily dosage of tv3 news anymore as I can watch it on the way home. How cool! :) I'm so thrilled...

psstt..... I scratched the screen after two days we bought it! Hot laki aku...Ha ha, told ya, I am so ganas...

Life

Asides from the marking the lab reports, exam papers and student's report on my desk, there isnt much to tell about the activity that I did since last week.

It took me 3-4 days to mark the 300 scripts, monday to thursday. Clap2... I'm am still very much impressed with myself. Haha..I know masuk bakul bah kan, but what the heck.

I'm all up for another round of marking the exam papers. Full swing since morning. Just that this afternoon, had to see Prof AB at the twin tower and arranged few things for the upcoming fyp presentation this thursday.

Wow, it didnt come to my senses that it has been almost a year already until the reminder sent by pendaftar landed in my mailbox. It's that time of the year again. Apa la yg dah aku buat sepjg 2008 nih. Apa lah kunuk sumbangan kepada nusa dan bangsa kuuuuu??? :)

Monster

Arrived at the office this morning and saw this!

Mak aihh...what in the world has happened to this poor box? Hmm... Cats? Or maybe dogs? Or makhluk apakah yg telah mengamuk??

Tuhla kamurang, lambat2 lagi ambil balik buku kamu. Kalau hancur lebur buku2 tuh, I think I'll probably buang ja la kali nih.

This has never happened before thats why I didnt bother to drag the box into my room before going back. Berat juga bah tuh. I guess last night was rather dark than usual, not a single light at my corridor far reaching the toilet area. Sampai tingkat 4 pon no lights. Meraba2 saya turun tangga, mau pergi ke kereta. Takut ok, takut orang jahat. Takut tergolek ditangga mahupon di lantai ada juga. Takut hantu?? Hehe...Dont ask ok. You have no idea apa yg saya dgr selalu.

Strange. Makin hari makin gelap tpt saya nih. Other wings terang benderang pula. Why? They have raised up the issue during the school meeting, but hmm its not getting any better, but worse. Maybe I should tell Izham again.

Well, we hated the congested road thus going back much later seems to be the perfect solution . But I may have to re-think about the whole idea again. It seems quite unsafe here at the workplace. Ada guard pon, asyik duduk di depan kaunter di foyer tuh ja dari pagi sampaila malam, dah jadi mcm receptionist. Weird kan.

Imagine, instead of the box saya yang kena gigit last night, kalau saya jerit pon I dont know org dgr ka tidak. Seram kan.

Hmm...call Izham byk kali but he's not around. Maybe I should just email him..

My little girl

My little girl whom is not so little anymore. Papa managed to snap this while I was busy inside having my antenatal check-ups. Damn, yesterday's jab still hurt like sh*t. Looking at the pic, will you not play with her if she made that smile? Even at 2 a.m.?

I guess my princess knew that she's going to be a big sis really soon as she keeps on telling me where her little adik is (in my belly of course). And not forgetting the constant kissing on my tummy followed by soft whisper ad-diikk.. Aww..sweet kan. :) I am smiling while typing this entry.

Oh did I ever mentioned in here that it is going to be a girl too.. Hehe, I guess I'll be having more gilmore girl days with my kids in the future and besides I am more than happy to have extra hands during hari raya when they grow up later. Kih kih, too bad hubby have to play soccer with the girl's team, as of now. Maybe next baby? Gulp.... hope not that soon alright, mummy needs to go back to school.

Over lunch, we made a quick visit to the kf house and alhamdulillah, we managed to get a new tenant the following month after Ros left the house. So fast kan. And surprisingly the couple are staying opposite of our house. They have to vacant the current house as the owner intended to sell it - at rm330k!... crazy kan!!!

Hmm.. prices of goods have soared tremendously over a short period. Strange. Petrol price is getting cheaper by the day, and yet the susu tin cap ayam is pricey, beyond words. Now they told us to use the hak pengguna to control the price, and of course everything now should fall into the hand of persatuan pengguna. Funny I must say.

Over The Moon

Ehem-ehemm....presenting the new features in my office...tadaaaa.... ha ha ha.. loving it so much! now i can always lepak2 here, while marking the scripts. no more sakit pinggang la after this hehe. nice huh. courtesy of hubby, thanks dear! :)

Sunyi

Jumaat. 7.00 p.m. Masih lagi melangut di ofis. Masih tunggu hubby selesaikan tugasan nya.

Gulp...

Kenapa pula aku tak buat kerja, sambil tunggu hubby.. Ntahla, otak dah tepu marking dari tadi. Mata berpinar2. Letih.. Dan paling penting, irama keroncong dalam perut aku nih perlu di layan segera. Mana mampu bertahan dgn hanya 3 keping roti sahaja utk lunch. Tak lalu mau makan di buatnya bila tingu paper2 student yang belum mark lagi tuh.

Nanti on the way balik, aku akan paksa hubby singgah mana2 la. Jagala dia...mesti belanja tuh...

Hubby, cepatla... I am scared, tired, and starving okay...

Remember

While marking the students' work, I couldnt help but noticed an annoying pattern in the answers they are giving me. The similar marks they are getting show the consistency of copying each other! Even up to the point of printing the same cover page.

Clever or stupid? Yes? No?

Am I angry? At first yes, but now it has changed to sympathy. If only they knew that the world outside is so cruel that they will not survived even for 2 secs if they keep on practicing this habit. No colleagues in the world would be happy if you are taking credits on their work.

My dearest students, please do remember. Although it may seem safe to be doing this now, there will come a day in your life especially when you have the privileged to be real adults old enough to take responsibility, you must accept the fact that you cannot be digging other people's backyard for food (say they have small kebun ka?? :)).

Remember ok?

Sleepy

Mengantuk.

The usual sleeping time is 2.00 am but last night she stretched it until 3.30 am. Mau orang temankan dia main, tgk tv, menyanyi or even dancing.

Since hubby is unwell for the past few days, the sleeping shift that we have arranged earlier had to be canceled. Almost 3 days in a row.

SAYA MAU NANGIS SUDAH NIH!!!!!!!!! At 7 mths, I am truly exhausted at the end of the day and the fact that we will only reached home by 8.00 almost everyday is making it worse. Hate the traffic so decided to go back much later.

At the back of my mind, I just wish for a decent sleep once we reached the house. No need for dinner, or mandi, or even tukar baju kerja sbb saya rasa macam mau pengsan sudah. All I want to do is cry myself to sleep. Wishful thinking, none of it materialized pon. I do not know where did I get all the strength to keep an eye on my daughter till the wee hours. Strange. But of course, mentally I am very much tired.

This morning I woke up feeling grumpy and restless. Patutkah aku bawa pigi jumpa doktor anak aku nih? Sakit apakah tidak mau tidur malam nih. She was up by 7 am tadi though she slept at 3.30 am. Segar bugar pula tuh. Ala ala lepas minum kopi lasindah. Weird.

Anyhow, I have decided that I should sleep during lunchtime. Probably looking for a decent sofa this weekend. Or should I buy katil instead and simpan di ofis.

Pening, agaknya normal bah tuh kali kalau jumpa kerabat ppums. Jarang berurusan, jumpa, dan atau berkursus sama2. Sbb tuh x familiar, tapi yang nyata semuanya hubby kenal. Hehe, aku cuma kenal bos aku, dan bekas penolong pendaftar kami. Ada la 2-3 familiar faces dan lecturer2 lain. Dan juga tuan rumah. Tapi salam ja la semua, semua pon aku ucapkan hari raya, and terima kasih. Ntah ya ka tidak tuan rumah library. Ngoks ka... lantakla kan. hehe..

She slept at 2 again last night. Dan hasilnya lambat sungguh kami ke ofis ari nih. Arrived dalam 8.30 gitu. Kesian hubby dan my cousin. Sudah bangun jam 5 tadi, tapi letih mencanak2 dan ngantuk sgt. Okay, lagi 15 mins la baru bgn. Ah, tau2 jak sudah 6.45 a.m. Terang benderang. Adui nah. Heran sungguh dgn my daughter nih. Semlm jam 10, dia masih sibuk melompat ke sana kemari dan menyanyi2. Sibuk guna berus gigi dia sbg microphone. Dan menyanyi terus terusan smpi jam 11. Dan terus menjerit2 menyanyi, berlari2 smpi jam 12 tgh mlm. 12.30 mlm, aku dah give up. Ntah masa bila la aku tertidur, tinggal la hubby tunggu konsert my baby habis sekitar jam 2 pagi. Nasib baik hubby is very considerate. Sanggup take turn jaga, Lagi pon seblm tuh dia sudah tidur dulu, teka jam brp?? Dari 8.30 mlm. He he. Now who is the baby?

Yesterday was a tiring, but a fruitful day indeed. I went to the lab to check on the students labwork and alhamdulillah everything was doing just fine. Hopefully, we can produce few papers out of the work. And some more, ProfAB has requested me to buy a new laptop using some of the seedmoney and spend the remaining $$ for chemicals. Bah, prof can we just buy this? Ha ha, ok cut the crap. I'll probably have to settle with common brands. Now, the only that is bugging me is to do the justification to the tnc. It was not included in the budget when I applied for the grant last time.

I heard that the conference is going to be materialized next year, although I find it funny that no news or anything about it yet. And the program has now approximately 8 months to do everything. Harap2 semuanya akan ok. Or else, kami akan lintang pukang lagi nanti, but then again, we are known as the koboi team bah since the birth of the program. No matter how late are we, we will make it a point to finish everything in time.

Thanks to her, my daughter got another belated birthday gift :). She did ask about the confirmation. No people, I didnt get it, yet. They postponed it for 2 reasons, 1) there was a delay for the publication of the paper (policy problem, hence will be published by early next year) and 2) the skt mark is 69.15 i think. it is below 70. i still couldnt believe it though. did i do that bad? it looks as though i have done nothing and never showed up for work. can we ask for a re-evaluation. I never knew about it until recently. Anyhow, I hope that this year it wont that bad again. Otherwise, it is probably a sign that I do need to update my cv.

I have another presentation to evaluate this afternoon. Kinda tired, and lazy. I know bad words to use. But still, I need to finish it. But when I called the IT person over and over again since morning, they are not around, hence no lcd yet. Alamak, how lah. The lab reports are still there, untouched. Hmm..too many to mark, I am just tired looking at them. All I want to do is sleep, and sleep. Orang kata, when you are pregnant you tend be lazy. Ya ka? If only they know. The constant backache, dizzy, restless, difficulty to move or even breathe. I am now walking like pingu, cute but troublesome as you have to add another steps sideways. Haha.

I am hoping that I'll do ok in the seminar's presentation next week. A bit nervous. I guess the 4 years talking in front of the students during lecture didnt help that much eh. After that, I am going to finish up marking the lab reports. And start balik where I left for the application. People has been questioning me about this thing a lot. Bila mau smbg belajar, or jadi kah sambung belajar nih?? Pressure juga sometimes. The answer is, kalau buleh sekarang juga. Sbb saya sudah malas mau pikir buat nota and buat kerja2 lain di ofis nih. :)

But my application masih di tahap itu juga. Smpt pegi btn bln 7. And it took me 2 mths to complete the form. last mth baru siap ok. Lame, I know. But membuat proposal itu sungguh memeningkan kepala saya, methodology pon masih lagi terkapai2. Semua sudah siap, ielts, btn, borang2, tawaran tpt pengajian, endeavor scholarships, and ada 2 lagi masuk round two sudah tapi nih mcm cari benang dlm tepung ja harapannya haha. Yang pasti tgu aku ja nih, yg masih lagi berfikir2 mau menghantar borang. After I delivered my baby. Yes. But, mak sudah pesan awal2 lagi suruh tinggalkan my kids if I wanted leave for my study. Sanggup kah biar anak minum susu lembu saja?? Sanggupkah x bawa my kids mcm pn. tham. And leave hubby di sini, because of work commitment, and after all dia pon mau smbg study end of this yr. Hmm.. the fact is, I now have to pretend menjadi single, seperti bujang trang tang tang, kalau mau mengejar cita2 saya. Kawan2 yg lain sudah pegi smbg study, he just whisked off the whole family, and the other two mmg belum kawin lagi thus no family issues involved. I am happy for them. The fact is I envy them. :)

So, if anyone asked me again about it, my answer would be a big smile on my face. Easier. There I'm done with this post.

Ops, have another half an hour before presentation. I better go now.

Daughter. Work. TV

Tersengguk2 saya menanda lab report students nih. Aduh mengantuknya. Mungkin x cukup tidur. Well, when u have small kid to attend to, istilah cukup tidur tuh mmg x kan wujud. Now that my daughter sleeps at 1-2 am every night, terpaksa la saya dan hubby layannnn kan jak. But, now have to make shift tidur yg optimum. Normally I will let hubby sleeps from 9 pm until midnight.

Meanwhile I'll be in charge playing with my daughter until she's tired. Peliknya, tak pernah penat pon dia, so energetic wpon baju dah basah kuyup berlari ke sana ke mari. But since I myself tersgtla letih and sleepy, I gave in. Hubby pula bgn after midnight and take turn to take care of our little darling. Hmm.. so now, my turn to sleep. Hubby will entertain her sampaila dia mau tidur sendiri, that is 1 - 2 am. If u force her to sleep, she'll scream smpi mau runtuh telinga ni di buatnya. He he. Hence, it is wise to let her sleep on her own will. Pelik juga, once we tried this trick ~ pretend that both of us are already asleep, and let her play by herself but 2 mins later she immediately cried. Mau juga ada org teman main. We had to be up by 5 am, and brave through the 1.5 hrs journey to work. And another 1.5 hrs in the afternoon. *Pengsan*.

Her entry got me thinking of whether I am ready for no.2 or not? But hey, bak kata zizan bolos tuh...Bersedia atau tidak, bolos saja dinding itu... Hehe, in other words...you will never know until the day itself. You just have to make yourself prepared no matter what. Yes, its true being heavily pregnant and having a toddler that requires your 24-hr attention all at the same time is indeed tiring. Beyond words I tell you. But at the end of the day, looking at my precious daughter smiling in her sleep, happy that the parents did spend some time with her to play ball even at 1 am, and have this flattering kick in my tummy before I put myself to sleep, is something that is priceless. Total bliss :). Beyond words too.

My morning kicks in with an urgent call from the office asking me to represent dear boss for a meeting and they said "datang sekarang juga!". Wow so garang, and demanding. My phone keeps on beeping with sms after sms from students, asking for some administrative advice and some for academic purposes. Then the mailbox is filled with an email saying that I need to do a presentation during a school seminar for a paper presented last yr at some conference. Tskkk... need to do a lot of reading. And out of 360 lab reports, I managed to mark 8 scripts today, and I fell asleep on the last report. Oh dear. I thought my day was a roller coaster ride today. But when I saw his face during lunch, I know his is even worst. Tried to comfort him, but boy I hit the wrong buzzer I guess. Hehe., so sorry ok dear I was just trying to help.

Truth is, no matter how much we rant about work and despise working with some people, life has to go on. A big wave and huge grin from him this morning is definitely the big catch. He certainly has his way of making others feel much better with his extraordinary happy auras. Wonder where he gets it. But anyhow thank you, I think you know who you are :)

Btw, Niptuck tuh sampai season 4 sudah ka? My oh my...betul2 ketinggalan bas sudah nih... he he. Well as much as I want to watch all the tv-series available on astro, I just couldnt. Ntahla. This is the only tv-series that I watch, tupon kdg2 miss juga. And CSI, sometimes. Thats it. My tv-addict days ranged from dawsons creek to gilmore girls and yg sewaktu dgn nya. See.. gets to watch tv during uni days, only. But now, I'm thinking of downloading the many episodes that I missed ~ Desperate Hsewives, Greys Anatomy, Gossip Girls, Prison Break, and etc... from season 1. Hik hik.. My only problem now is, where to download all this?? Ha ha... Punyala semangat, tapi nda tau pula...Helppp... :)

Life

It seems pretty quiet today since morning. And this afternoon, the sounds of thunder and gloomy weather are drifting me to sleep. But I must not as I have a 2-5 pm lab presentation to evaluate in less than 20 mins.

I am still waiting for the form from dear boss, which is supposed to be submitted way 2 weeks ago to PPI. Ergh.. Hopefully I shall get it by this afternoon and submit it by next week, then start thinking on ordering few chemicals. Hmm.. its not much just a rm10k money to spend but at least I am learning something or moving into a better direction, research wise. I have been dormant for the past 2 years. Shucks. My fault by the way. Too much time spend studying and preparing lecture stuffs. And becoming a yes-boss kuli isnt helping as well.

I think it is safe to tell in here that InsyaAllah hubby will be doing his masters in Dec. He is very much into forensic accounting a term which sounded too alien for me. And the fact that I do not appreciate doing a balance account ever since form four, left no room for him to explain the whole thing. So, it'll be three years from now (its a part time basis) for him to get another degree. Lets pray for the best. And this whole thing has got me thinking, of who should go back to school first. Never mind on that, I just need to put my focus on the baby first.

Sometimes work is so overwhelming that I have forgotten I am pregnant all this while. Now that I am approaching 7 mths, and experiencing some discomforts, the thought that I will have someone new in my life less than 3 mths suddenly feels surreal. I havent done any preparation as in buying the baby's stuffs and all. Oh dear, plain ignorant I was. I dont know. Maybe my tummy isnt showing that much (I had dear friend touching and checking my belly few days ago when I told her I am pregnant ~ she didnt believe me hehe).

But, I do miss going back to school. I miss having unanswered call from my supervisor appeared on the screen (takut punya pasal analysis belum siap haha thus sengaja tidak mau jawab). The fact is I really miss studying. Not that I am not doing any now, but it feels different when I was a student. I guess what I am missing here is the carefree life of being a student, simple, crazy, and I dont have to think about piles of work in the office. He he. I found some old pics of me taken 3 years ago, enjoying life as a student...(nerdy, naive, and so young, i am no different than my students now... haha). I miss the girls a lot! :)
alamak, tertingu gbr nih juga...salivating for the bihun goreng ayam kunyit taman u la...anybody going to utm??? ##^%$&(*(&... oh please helpp...
Oh yeah, btw minyak sudah turun 3x, but how come harga karipap di sst tuh masih lagi 50sen 1 bijik, and reducing in size. Isk isk isk....

Isk belum punch out, but I am too scared to go there as it is dark already and too tired to walk half the block. mungkinkah saya patut pindah bilik? Anyways, have a nice weekend uols! :)

Bernard Chan

An email received this morning. Just thought that spreading the news might help.

**********
Dear colleagues,

I was contacted by one our ex-students, graduated last August 2008 revealing a bad news about him recently diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. His name is Bernard Chan (Civil Engineering Program). We in civil engineering family remember him as a kind and obedient guy and very helpful to others. He was the Pengarah for a community project we conducted in Kg Kiau, Ranau back in 2006, where we helped the kampung folks building a kindergarden.

His journal can be found here.

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/bernardchan
http://www.growmyfamilytree.org/bernardchan/

Obviously, he needs a lot of assistance financially as he is the eldest in the family and supposed to be the breadwinner, and has just started working.

But, if you cannot help him financially, do send encouragment to him in battling this disease (House: 073317720, Hp: 0168142561- Malaysia) (Hp: +6583790701 -Singapore, where he is being treated at Singapore National University Hospital).

Or, if you have any idea of how we can help him (or a contact person), do let me know.

Ikang

This is my daughter's favorite spot in town. Do you know where that is? Yes, that tiny roundabout facing the sea near Segama. She would scream my name and asked me to look at it, and told me what it was. She calls it ikang (I am still very much confused of where she learns to pronounce that ganu slang hehe).
Anyway, since she loves her ikang so much, we spared 15 mins there just to give her a closer look of her favorite character. Her face was glowing, filled with joy and she was screaming all the way. It must have been one of the most wonderful experience for her. See, who's on top of the ikang now? Nasib baik tidak kena tangkap sama dbkk kami. Hehe...
Its great to able to see the world through our kid's eyes. My daughter taught me that sometimes even the simplest thing in life can provide that magical comfort, if and only if, you learn to look and appreciate your surroundings in a different perspective :)

Ill

I think I am sick again. Not the kind of sickness that you can simply pop in those pills as you please.

My body decided to feel like it is burning all through prayer time or whenever I recite the Quran. Even my voice is changing to either becoming suara nenek tua or simply sounding like a harsh man's voice each time I read the Quranic verses. All these happening shortly after Ramadhan has ended. I was in total peace during the holy month. Now, I am getting confused, angry, and the sadness overflowing in me is ridiculous. Worst, I am at the verge of tearing all the reports, too lazy to read them. Franky speaking, I didnt do much work for the past four days. None. Kosong. Am I seeing things lately? Yeah in a way, but not noticeable just a shadow or some black images. However, I did feel as though someone is watching or following me, day and night. I dont think I ever mentioned in here that I saw a 14-year old girl with shoulder length hair sitting at the back while I was driving during maghrib on my way back to papar. What did I do? Ignored it, and she disappeared seconds later. Creepy or crap?

I can smell a distinct space in the relationship. Funny, there were days I think he hated me so much that he didn't even want to talk or even saw my face. For some odd reasons, it kept me thinking of whether I have done something horrible to anyone before or things were merely complicated by the problems mentioned in the previous paragraph. Even the family members are suffering the side effects of it. Chest pain, headache, stress and all. Strange. And above all, things are getting worse if we tried to read more holy verses, zikir, and everything. Having said that, I believe the whole scenario is sending a clear indication that we need to do something about it. But how?

I need to get going with life. With my work. With everything that is screaming for my attention. Why is this happening? Something for me to reflect back on what have I done perhaps into becoming a good muslimah? Any effort towards it?

Ah well, now help me decide. Its either the shrink or the ustaz? I do know that this whole thing is common to some people, or those who have had fair experience themselves. Thus, good advices or some useful thoughts are very much appreciated.

The Day

12.10.2006.

Remembering this date 2 years ago, many thoughts came into my mind. The waiting, the pain, but most certainly the joy that came soon after. Guess what, my daughter turns two yesterday.

Too lazy to write, so I'm putting up pictorial update.

Happy Birthday dear! Mama and papa love you so much :)

10 Syawal 1429 H

  1. Sleepy, and tired. Hopefully I entered the correct mark for the right kids. Need to get this coursework mark done by next week.
  2. I thought I lost my glasses yesterday, thus a day at work with blurry images wasnt fun at all. Desperate, I bought new glasses yesterday. Another hole in the pocket after raya, is certainly not appreciated kan. But what to do. Reached home, and found my old pair placed nicely on the side table. Bikin panas! :)
  3. I started working yesterday, to which I found the office is still pretty quiet. People are taking long break for raya I guess. Good for them. I just had to start working yesterday, in hope to do few things but later found out that I couldnt accomplish any of them as I do need other colleagues to be around to be able to do it. Hmm..
  4. And besides the people from the office has been calling me 3 days in a row since Monday, asking me to come for a meeting I have never heard of. And they claimed they have sent the memo earlier. When? On Friday hari Raya ke 3. And they expect people to come to work on that day? Hmm...Annoying? Yes. But come to think of it whats the point of slaving urself for work, if by the end of the day u still get ur kpi below 70 (strange, i was not told about it) and your confirmation postponed because of it, I must say its high time for me to start saying NO once in a while. So I asked the lady, "are you expecting me to drive all the way from papar to come for the 3 pm meeting? (Its already 2.30 at that time). Conversation ended there.
  5. Raya was fine. Just that my daughter got a one inch cut on left arm on first Raya. tuhla ganas kan. Hehe. And the 3rd day of Raya moi was suffering food poisoning pulak. Hmm..thus picture only this the whole day: vomiting and diarrhea. But other than that, it was a great festive season with lots of good food and visiting relatives. I gained another 2 kilos. Haha.,,
  6. Ok got to go, planning for daughter's 2nd birthday party this Sunday. Lets hope things will turn out well. :)

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Tag Hari Raya

I will be on leave for nearly 2 weeks starting tomorrow. Lama kan. Hehe, ah well its a deserving break considering that I rarely used my annual leave (ya ka haha!).

Its 2.30 pm and when dad call just now telling me that my little girl is following them to jalan-jalan shopping raya, I just couldnt stop thinking about joining them. Waduh.

Okla, since the raya mood is conquering me already, I am more than happy to do this tag from her. Hehe...

Berapa pasang baju raya anda tahun ini dan kaler apakah?
2 sahaja bah. But, belum ambil lagi dari tailor. Ntah siap ka sudah belum tuh.

Updated:

Just now the tailor came, opps...sudah terslh design. but I dont mind at all, just that terpendek pula baju. And for kain, ukuran pinggang is before pregnancy. Imagine how sesak nafas nya sia bila cuba tadi. Hmm.. sudah return balik, and hopefully she'll manage to fix it soon. Otherwise, no baju raya lah this year. Color: white+purple and the other is brown+blue.

Apakah makanan raya tradisional kegemaran anda?
Mestila nasi impit dan kuah kacang. Tat nenas harus ada juga.

Apakah biskut raya kegemaran anda?
Tat nenas (klasik kan sia nih).

Berapa banyak duit raya anda dapat n spend untuk bagi kepada budak-budak?
Adala sikit2. But eversince kawin tiadala. Semalam baru ja discuss dgn hubby this yr bagi brp duit raya dgn budak2. Selalunya budget rm200. Tapi anak2 buah tetap la ada khas share dorang tuh. Yang pasti cukupla utk mensetelkan bonus nih. Ha ha.

Apakah aktiviti malam raya korang?
Sibuk tolong my mom prepare nasi dagang (menu wajib). Rendang and nasi impit, of course kuah kacang pon kena ada juga, sometimes we tempah sate juga. My mom punya favorite is ketupat palas, tapi mau bikin tuh ya ampun bengkak2 ibu jari. Iron baju, kdg2 tukar kusyen or psg langsir pon time tuh. As always, semua last minute, semput juga la... ;)

Passing this tag to you.. yes you..:)

Oh yeah...drive safely, and jgn main mercun tau!

Happy Day

There. I'm done lecturing for this semester. Yes, in the middle of week11, just in time for the raya break next week. Happy? U bet I am. However I still have loads of reports and assignments that I havent touch. I even got stack of lab reports to mark (hundreds of them!). Aiyahh.. hence finishing the lecture earlier is certainly a good idea seeing that I still have plenty of things to do after raya. And my proposal? Soon enough it will be a valuable artifact for the museum. See even this guy is spying on it! :)

Anyways, dah byk kuih raya?? Hmm.. so far we managed to bake few at home. It feels really nice to be able to prepare your own kuih though it is not really that tasty or pretty to look at, but still experimenting with butter, sugar and a bit of flour is more enjoyable comparing to the labwork I had to do at the office. Haha..Of coursela bah. And its cheaper to prepare your own kuih than to buy from the store. The usual one container of tat nanas costs me rm10 only to prepare (budget termasuk karan ok). And guess what, people are selling it for rm60 here! Isk isk... Obliviously, things can be damn expensive in Sabah. Hubby told me from his recent trip to kl that the price in kl is rm25 for the same amount of tat nanas. Can you see of how some entrepreneurs can be so cekik darah over here in kk. Suddenly sia pula yg berkobar2 mau jadi saudagar kuih raya. Ha ha ha.

Oh yeah, i'm currently looking for a new tenant. Anyone interested pls do let me know. Ujana Kingfisher, Lot No.179, phase 3. Renovated. Rental negotiable.

Ok, back to marking midterm exam...isk baru 1.45. punya lambat lagi mau pulang nih!

8.30 AM Lecturer

Since today is my only slot for the research methodology class, I came half an hour early to DKP. Too much anticipation perhaps. Its an 8 am class mind you. I slept at 2 last night preparing like crazy as if I was having a final exam the next day for this subject. Can you just imagine how cranky I was when I had to get up for sahur. However, it came to me as a surprise to see less than 10 of them in the class by 8.15 am. And so I asked one of the student.

Me: What happened to the rest of your friends?
Student: Dont know madame, but I bet they are coming much later as S**** told us that the class will start at 8.30.
Me: He what? How come I didnt know? I thought I was the only one who can decide if the class will start later than 8 am. I didnt quiet remember doing so. I thought we were supposed to start our lecture by 8 am. Did Dr. C*** start his class at 8.30?
Student: At 8 am madame. Dont know. S***** says it really depends on who is the lecturer for that slot.
Me: Memandangkan puasa, saya tidak mau marah-marah, tapi saya tidak buleh kontrol sudah nih. Fuming. So, you are trying to say that I am an 8.30 am lecturer?
Student: Smile, giggles.

As far as I remembered I keep pestering them to come early to class, as a matter of fact I was always on time for lecture. I was at the verge of saying "I think its the other way around, you guys are the 8.30 am students".

Should I just give them zero for the assignment?

What Is Your Toddler's Temperament?

In search for an idea on how to tackle my daughter’s tantrum, I took this quiz and found out that she's actually a Spirited Toddler.

Here's the report:

The Spirited Toddler is extremely active physically, often willful, and may be prone to temper tantrums. She is very social and curious and will point to objects and reach out for them and for other kids early on. This child is the consummate adventurer; she will have a go at anything and is very determined. She displays a great sense of achievement when she accomplishes something. At the same time, she needs very clear boundaries so that she doesn't act like a steamroller, trampling anyone or anything in her path. Once they start crying, Spirited Toddlers have stamina and staying power, so you're in for a long haul if you don't have a good routine going. Given good guidance and an outlet for her energy, however, a Spirited Toddler can become a leader and very accomplished in whatever area interests her.

Here is my girl doing what she loves the most. My way of diverting her anger. Works most of the times. She'll be okay once she got her hands on the book and coloring pencil. Hmm.... Picasso in the making?? :)

On second thought, i think she got a liiittle carried away sometimes.... more of her masterpiece here.. oh dear... *pengsan*

Kitchen Disaster

Today is the 10th day of fasting. How time flies kan? My first kuih raya preparation last weekend was a disaster. Why? Tart nanas sudah bertukar menjadi kuih siput. Ha ha ha. A must have kuih raya for me is tart nanas, and strangely this year I decided to follow that stup*d buku recipe for the ingredients. Padahal selalunya tak refer pon, coz it is easy peasy to do and I made it before on several occasions. Tapi yg pasti setahun sekali la. Hahaha. The dough was so oily and as I said it was a complete disaster. So as for plan B, I just add more flour, salt and spices, and there u have it... kuih siput... he he he... oh dear... nasib tidak melatop ja dapur tuh.

Spent the morning reading the papers, and updating the long overdue proposal. Sh*t. Its been 4 mths already. But I couldnt help it, mata saya sungguh kicik sudah, I think I was typing with my eyes closed for a few times. So sleepy today. Perhaps that sleeping after midnight nearly everyday and getting up at 4 is the main culprit. My daughter still refuses to sleep much earlier like other toddlers would do. I wonder why. And how can I just get her to sleep at a normal cycle. Because I desperately need a decent sleeping hours too, otherwise I'll be walking with my eyes closed at the office pretty soon. I just prayed so hard yesterday that I didnt conked out in front of my boss during the meeting. But yeah, I guess when we entered motherhood, sleep becomes an expensive commodity.

We had the moderation meeting yesterday, which I presumed much much later than the other programmes. I just hope things will be settled sooner as today is the day we need to submit the questions to the school. Hmm...

Yesterday morning, after sahur, in my hurry, I tripped over and injured my knee. I hit the floor quiet hard. Hence 2 hrs was spent in the morning getting a massage for my knee, and soon after that we rushed to see DrPretty just to ensure that the baby is fine. No bleeding, or any pain. Its just me being paranoid bah. I just had to make sure that everything is okay. Silly kan.

Just as I entered the room, DrPretty made an immediate remark,"my oh my, u still dont look pregnant to me"... hmm...maybe because of my smaller tummy. Or perhaps I didnt get that much of weight for this pregnancy. Last time, I was as big as a cow. I am aware of it. And concerned. I believed that even some of staffs here are probably confused whether I am having a baby or not. At 6 mths, I still look as if I'm in my first trimester! :) I have gained 5 kilos so far. Only 5 kilos. Hmm... Last night I tried to eat as much as I can. After a heavy Iftar and rested for a while, at 10 p.m. I stuffed myself with laksa, nasi kerabu and kfc burger, followed by a glass of milk. Non-stop makan. He he, sakit perut too full and I was having trouble to breathe. Crazy. But I am glad :)

Sometimes I do feel like I am not providing enough nutrients for my baby. I eat moderately but I still have the pills and lots of milk. But still the guilt is there. Why? I am just worried when Dr.Pretty told me that the head's development is 3 weeks lagging than the other parts of his/her body. Sheesshh.. Is it because of me? Did I eat something that I shouldnt? Or am I eating less than I should. She had arranged me an appointment with the specialist this saturday, but I just couldn't wait that long. Or maybe I should just go to Dr. Felice. What should I do actually? I just hope and pray in this holy month, that everything will be just fine.

This is how I feel today

Its been quiet today. But nothing unusual. It is pretty quiet over here at my wing nearly everyday. Haven't seen anyone today. Not even a shadow of my neighbours. Heh, is there anything going on which I do not know. Reminds me of Roswell. Ha ha.. Palis palis.

I cant wait to go home though work is screaming at me. My best buddy comes to work after 2.30 pm and goes home 2 hrs later. No neighbours. The only thing that motivates me to doing work now is myself, myself, and myself. Oh dear, I'm sticking to that for now, lets hope it'll last forever.

But after a while, I cannot simply deny that workplace is an alien breeding valley. The only prominent loyal feature is the kakak2 cleaner. Just that. I just had to make a quick call to hubby. To call and ask him to tell me... "jangan malas-malas ok. buat kerja." is funny indeed. Get it?

Anyways, hope its not too late to wish everyone...Selamat menunaikan ibadah puasa! :)

I'll Be - Edwin McCain

Just another classic tune that can put smile on my face. Love it.

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful

Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated
I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

[Chorus:]
I'll be your crying shoulder
I'll be love suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

Rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive not dead
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache, that hang from above

[Chorus]

I've been dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, Remembered the things that you said

[Chorus]

Happy Tuesday

It is only Tuesday, yet so many (good) things have happened:

  1. So it is confirmed that three of our colleagues will be leaving for PhD latest by Sept. Ouch, will be short of few good people, but hey thinking on the bright side we will be having more doctorates in the future. Good for the programme.
  2. She finally gave birth to a healthy 3.55 kg baby boy. Natural. Great news kan. Totally great news. Congrats to R&M.
  3. My good neighbour moved to a new wing. Strange. How my sides can be so freaking quiet that it gets so lonely though most of the rooms are occupied. I'm getting less people then over here. But its okay, lets hope more new people will be joining us.
  4. Since that my neighbour has moved to the room that was used to be Kak J*j*'s, I guess its true then that she has left for good. I really salute those who were brave enough to follow their dreams, taking all the risks the world has to offer.
  5. Its midterm break, convocation, tamu gadang and PEREKA competition now. All happening this week. Yippie. But it also means, we need to pass the final exam question next week. Isk, macam baru jak aku menanda kertas exam last sem. *Sigh*
  6. Still waiting for the long overdue good news today, will update once I know ok.
  7. Pregnancy updates ~ baby has started to move for the past 2 weeks. Auww...sweet. I really miss those feelings. And now that I can feel it again, I feel blessed! :) I have been having abdominal pain (at the c-sect line) every now and then, but DrPretty says its normal for some mothers because the muscle is stretching, just that if its becoming extremely painful, I have to tell her. True, I am worried, but then again its been almost 2 yrs now, hence I pray that the pain will soon go away.

Me : Cancel jela...maybe next week..*keciwa* (Had to ditch the plan due to some reasons).

So we ended up dating makan nasi goreng di putatan while watching Chong Wei playing for semi final, together with my cuz of course.

I didnt want anything that day just some time off with hubby (mcm nda cukup2 jmpa di rumah and ofis pula kan haha) because its the day I turned 29. Selfish? Why not? Big deal for me before I hit the big 3-0. Ha ha

Ah well, that nasi grg will do and besides Chong Wei winning the match is smtg good to celebrate as well right?
