Salam Merdeka!

I came to the class as usual. 3hrs, I am exhausted. This week alone, 11 contact hours for maths. Hmm.. my heart bleeds when they categorized it as underload in the school meeting and I did not entitled for any tutor. But praise to Allah, just 2 weeks ago my colleague began to help me with the 2 tutorial slots, and a former student came forward offering to help me just before the mid sem break, for free. So nice of him. I am happy now, but still weekend class is necessary.

Anyhow, I am very happy to see some changes with the students. They seemed to be more interested and interactive now compared to few weeks ago. Hopefully, all of them can make it for this subject. I am glad some of them came all the way from papar, took the bus and attended to lecture :)

Now, I do have a problem. I dont know how I can go home since the car is with hubby. He needs to attend a course at Sutera. I miss the kids, semalam x smpt balik, so today I have to go back to papar. Well, problem is, I dont know which bus should i take, how much do I need to pay. Ha ha... lama nya x naik bas semua pon tak ingat.. hmm.. well it will take me 2 buses to reach home. So, if the students made an excuse of not being able to attend my lecture today because there is no bus, mmg nak kena tembak dgn saya nih!! Few weeks ago they use that excuse. Hmm...

Oh yeah, selamat menyambut hari merdeka!!!!! :)

Just got back from the class, tired but happy. I love teaching. I love knowing that the students learned something today. I love to see the glow on their face when they finally understood something. hmm... what a lovely day!

Tentang rumah & famili

Pagi tadi sampai saja di ofis, terus bergegas balik rumah menggatal untuk ambil buku proceeding, hehe smpi bertukar suda dia punya pengarah belum lg terbuat report cr6 aku tuh. Hmm..masuk2 ja rumah, aduh sedihnya sbb lebih kurang 3 mggu la sudah nda tgl situ. Suda jadi mcm weekend hse jak, seminggu sekali ja ada disana. Sbb budak2 dah diantar blk kg, gara2 risau mau antar pegi nursery. Jadi, dgn kami2 pon mula berulang alik lagi ke papar. Sebab, sunyi ja balik rumah bila budak2 tuh tiada. Baru ja 2-3 bulan tgl sana, kawan2 pon ada tnya bila la ko punya hse warming nih?? hehe... Nampak gaya terus buat open hse raya la kali...

Lega juga bila tgk 'anak2' aku tuh masih 'waras', wpon kena siram seminggu sekali ja. Kejam bah aku nih kan....hehe... Nasib baikla juga musim hujan sekrg nih, jadi masih lagi mereka tuh bertahan.. Sempoi gila kan rumah aku nih, sbb mmg x tau lgsg bab2 interior design. Kalau la buleh antar competition si eric tuh bagus juga kan bulehla suruh dia hias cun2, tapi rasanya program dia tuh belum ada dsabah kan. Aih, berangan la dulu jwbnya. Tgkla, hook langsir pon belum smpt lagi terpsg. Hehe.. Tapi bila balik tadi, best juga la sbb rumah sendiri , x kira la kelam kabut mcm mana pon, u still enjoy ur own space kan. Lagipon the kids mmg suka lepak2 di depan tv tuh and memekik2 bagi pening org sebelah dan atas. I do miss that moment. Hehehe....

Tapi mau tau alangkah terperanjatnya bila masuk dapur and tgk pokok2 daun sup pemberian FIL aku tuh... Ko tgk nih jah, apo dah jadi nih?? Nih la kali org panggil kurus kering!!! Kalau pak mentua aku dtg spot check pa macam?? Failed nih failed...Hmm... maybe aku patut tanam bibit baru laaa... Kome x caye ater cube ler nengok gambo di bwh nih ha....Yg belakang sekali tuh gbr sebulan lps, time masih segar menghijau gitu...ahh..sedih okeh. Sampai dah tumbuh pokok2 rumput ntah apa2... Ish...

Jarang juga la aku update pasal the girls kan. Alhamdulillah they are doing well, syuhada will be 3 yrs old comes oct, and syafiqah as of now masuk 7 bln lebih. Looking healthier and happier since they got to stay with mom again. Tapi kesian jugak dgn mak aku, jenuh mau melayan. Ada one time tuh, my mom sungguh hot dgn anak ku yg tua tuh, semakin pintar menjwab sekrg...

Contohnya macam di satu pagi yg hening nih.....

Ada... oh ada.... (my girl call herself ada, coz dia cuma dpt sebut yg ujung2 ja...syuhada becomes ada...)

Ya nekkk....

Siapa yg pasang aircond bilik nenek nih, kan tiada org...nenek pesan apa dgn ada???? (budak2 zmn sekrg nih mmg possessive of remote control kann...at 2 yrs old she knows mcm mana mau psg aircond, dvd, astro, antar sms)

*sengih2*

Kan nenek pesan, kalau tiada org jgn pasang aircond, kena tutup ok.. membazir...bla bla bla...

cing anassshhhh!!!!!! (simply translated as kucing panas!!!!! sambil tunjuk kucing yg tidur di bilik)

Ada berani mau lawan??? Heheh....

Tingukla gbr pagi tadi, masing2 buat muka sedih mau ikut pegi ofis..

Oh yeah, btw since my tenant punya agreement will end soon (nov) dan dia pon blm mentioned mau continue tgl di sana, i think i better start finding new tenant now. anyone interested to stay di kingfisher (bukan sulaman ya hehe), intermediate double story phase 3, renovated with spacious living hall chewah hehe, 3 rooms, 3 toilets. deposit 1 mth , rent rm1100. kosong ok. pls let me know.

Last but not least, kepada semua sahabat handai.. selamat menunaikan ibadah puasa ya! :) Moga2 dapat kita tingkatkan lagi amal ibadah kita dibulan yg penuh keberkatan ini..amin

iccbpe

when my colleague approached me during the conference's dinner and asked, so was it worth all your hard work? i had to say yes and no. yes on learning new things and no for the stupidity of everything. i had a recurring dream for three nights in a row concerning the conference, despite the fact that it was over for good last week. i wonder why. probably i am still thinking of the annoyance that it brings. of how hard we have worked within a month just to make sure everything goes well. oh well, we did it anyway. of course it was far from perfect, but at least 'someone' is relieved that it was not canceled. but i have to tell, that cleaning up someone's mess is not as easy as it looks.

having to deal with funny scenes and childish act is another thing. i do not know what to say or how to react in the first place. but i can say that i am extremely sad, when our own students can scream 'shut up' at us. beyond tolerance. beyond words. it feels as though we have failed in nurturing the students with the soft skills and positive attitudes. we have failed indeed. we have created volunteers that expect us to give them something in return. i noticed that on the very first day i met them, to which they have started asking me on the money, and food even before i managed to distribute the tasks. oh dear. that should explain the theory of being boycott during the dinner.

i have many things to rant about the conference, and i think i can go on and on till tomorrow. i just hope that our dearest friend would soon realized that students come and go. it is us that will be here for the next 25 years or so. that friendship doesn't blend well with professionalism. that it took crazy people to say yes and help a friend who actually left the helping friends in the end. hmm...thinking about this makes me wanna cry.

so, was the conference worth all the hard work... the extended working hours.....the tears...the panic.....of being yelled at...of having to face sarcasm from many people....of the silly drama...i would have to ... YES... ha ha ha... we have bunch of crazy people in the dept.... we will make time for everything, and we will strive and do the best we could.

and oh yeah please please stop asking me the question. it is pure mental torture. thank you.

Of student who got infected

One of my student who got infected with H1N1 came to the class this morning though doctor didn't allow him to do so because he has not fully recovered. I was having my lecture as usual when he came in, thus I did not wear the mask when I gave my lecture because the students could not hear me. He came without wearing his mask too and approached me and told me of his long absence since last week. Only when he introduced himself that I realized of the situation.

Okay, at first I was angry at myself for not wearing my mask, but I guess I am more pissed off that the student didn't have any common sense to at least wear his because he is aware of his health status. I could see that he was coughing during his 1-2 minute presence in the class. He should have not come to the class as the doctor instructed him to quarantine himself at home. Of course, I requested him to leave the class immediately and went home.

We found out later on that the main reason he went to the class was to inform me about the attendance. He could have just call his friends or me for that matter. I went to the clinic and got myself checked. Alhamdulillah I am fine. But the doctor asked to me to watch out for any symptoms within the next 48 hrs. I think instead of going home to my mom's place, I should just go home to menggatal house, and distance myself from the kids for about a week or so.

Kenapa la budak2 nih begini....

H1N1

everyone knows that there are already cases of H1N1 at the school. but what i didnt know is they are actually my students. now that the whole class went for a screening last week, should i do the same?

hehe, risau jugak. i'm so worried for the kids, so i sent them to kampung and be with my mom for almost a week already. still contemplating on sending the kids to the nursery, coz as of now, the virus is spreading all across the state - 10 schools closed for that matter.

thus, coming back to my initial question. should i go the hospital? i dont have flu, or high grade fever, or any symptons except for a sore throat. hmm... i am just wondering why did the students went to the class when they knew they were sick?

tak pasal2 aku pula yg panik...
