Kembara Replacement?

From this photo, we can confirm that the new Kembara replacement Perodua SUV will be based on the Toyota Rush/Daihatsu Terios. No other detail is revealed other than the alloy wheel design which looks like a 5-spoke design as opposed to the Toyota Rush's 6-spoke design.

Unlike all of Perodua’s current vehicles which are locally assembled, the new Perodua SUV will be fully imported from Japan and will positioned higher than its Indonesian-import Toyota Rush sibling in terms of pricing.

Some official minor specs on the car - a 1.5 liter DVVT engine (likely the 3SZ-VE in the Avanza and Rush) and a 4WD drivetrain, unlike the Toyota Rush’s 2WD drivetrain. It comes in automatic transmission only and has two colour variant - Medallion Grey or Majestic Black.

It will be a low volume product, and the expected price tag is likely to be more than the Toyota Rush because of its higher specs (the 4WD drivetrain) and Japan sourcing. It will be targeted at the urban, upper-middle income group.

My heels went kaput inside the car while waiting for hubby during lunchtime, and believe it or not I didnt have extra pair in the car! Thus, paksa hubby pigi sini. Ha ha ha..

Confession

I have a confession to make, as much as I have allergy to seafood I also have developed an allergy towards lipsticks.

Weird, but true, and this only happened after I got married. As a result, lipstick was not really one of my must have item in my handbag. Well I am not really that concern about wearing lipsticks everyday to work, but there were days or once in a while you just feel like having a nice shade on the lips especially on special occasion and it can be quite disappointing when I couldn’t do just that.

Few hours after applying the lipsticks, a tingling sensation followed by itchiness is everywhere on my lips and the next thing I saw on the mirror is a swollen lip. Well, I don’t mind having Angelina’s sexy pout but coupled with the burning sensation and my dear lips were hurting like hell just wasn’t the right thing to feel isn’t it.

Brand is not an issue as my poor lips have tasted all sorts from the cheap to those expensive ones, but nothing ever works. Why? This includes gloss and even lip balm okay! So not funny bah.

And I found out about this in an email sent by a dear friend some time ago…

Watch out for those lipsticks
which are supposed to stay longer.

If your lipstick stays longer, it is
because of the higher content of lead.

The higher the lead content,

the greater the chance of causing cancer.

Here is the test you can do yourself:

1. Put some lipstick on your hand.

2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.

3. If the lipstick colour changes to black, then you know the

lipstick contains lead.

Ever wonder of the fact that one fine day your important letter might not reach its intended destination.

Apparently one of those days is TODAY.

Busy bee

Been checking my email for every 5 mins for the past 2 hrs, secretly hoping that myra would have any news with the application. *ms wanted me to provide the offer letter by apr 30th, failure to do so would mean that I might as well forget about doing phd this year. i hope i'll pass the english test, and now my main concern is the btn course. And they said that everything should be ready by mei 31st. Yikes, so fast? Once the application for cuti belajar is approved, candidate should start latest by oct this yr. And for whatever reason it is, if that person suddenly decided to shove away the opportunity, the scholarship will be passed to other uni, and he/she will be banned from applying for the following year. Mak aih...

Frustrated? Yes of course, just couldn't swallow the fact that I do not have time as luxury now. With the so many things going on now, and personal life screaming for my attention too, my patience is seemingly fading away. And now, fingerprint id? Hmm, just now someone scribble nasty thing on the punch card point, hahahaha...marah betul si kawan tuh....With the new mgmt, comes new power, comes new responsibility and of course comes the new generation of rebels....ha ha ha ha...

You know what I think of the whole new episode in life now, workwise and personal? Redah aje la... Hey, why not another jr? February next yr sounds like a really good and promising edd bah. *wink*

Back to marking paper. Yawnnnnnnn. I think I just need a break. Now sapa lagi yg mau tanya dia punya carrymark?? Grrrrr....

I need to get to the office early tmrw for my jari registration, and besides hubby (& few others) will be having breakfast with nc at 7.30 am. Wahlawheyyyy... esok sesudah subuh, kena gerak nih! isk..

Pissed off

I have a sore throat today.

Great! Of all days, my voice disappears on my p&p evaluation day which is today.

Flu is creeping in also. Shucks!

And the IT guy is really a pain in the a*s. Why u might ask. Yesterday I ask him to fix the LCD for my evaluation today. And I told him, that he should get it fix for it is deemed necessary for my lecture tomorrow.

Guess what? It was still unattended bah. Isk...10 mins before my class I called him and asked, what happened and why is that thing is still hanging like yesterday.

Him: Saya tak jumpa spanar la puan, so saya tidak buleh baiki.
Me: Kenapa tidak inform saya. U buat senyap ja mcm its already fix. I told u kan penting nih, i have p&p today. Bila u senyap jak, i'm assuming u did a good job at fixing it.
Him: Puan jgn tuduh saya tak buat kerja pula, saya ada baiki cuma tak dpt cari spanar yg sesuai.
Me: Thinking *Bila masa pula aku tuduh dia tak buat kerja*. Saya tak ckp begitu cuma, u tidak inform saya pula bila u tak dpt buat sedangkan saya bagitau sgt penting hal nih.
Him: Puan tidak pula bagitau saya, saya kena inform puan balik kalau tidak dapat baiki.
Me: WTF...Its ur obligation to tell me if u already fix the thing, and lagi la kalau TIDAK DAPAT DIBAIKI sgt2la penting u have the heart to tell me (I dont have to tell u this bah), so I can make other preparation like ohp transparency (which i prepared too, lucky i did) or borrow other lcd. Common sense right? It shows how lightly he handles my prob.
Him:Bah, puan cuba tnya dgn puan K mgkn ada lcd lain.
Me:Suruh me pegi ambil? Now? Pleaseee....My class starts any time now. Like i have all the time in the world kan mau cari lagi lcd. tu pon kalau ada and the person is there. ***FUMING!!!***. tak payahla, i want to start my class now, penilai saya anytime ja dtg.
Him: Saya pegi cari la puan K. bla bla bla.....
Me: End conversation. Start teaching. Wasting time arguing.

Luckily everything (the p&p) went well, I guess despite the unnecessary hiccups! I think I'm going to be sick (flu is kicking in), and it seems like everyone is carrying this disease. Why-ah?

p/s: The guy did apologize. I forgive him yes, but I'll never forget it. Its like a big fat slap on my face. Good lesson.
