36

36 weeks and counting... :) I can't hardly wait!

It’s week 36 and it seems as though Baby has developed in the merest blink of an eye -- and this week, that’s what he’s doing: blinking! He’s practicing, just as he has been practicing swallowing and breathing.

Your little genius is also well on his way to achieving that telethon-worthy goal of 100 billion neurons as his brain continues its rapid development.

And proving he's more than just all brains, he's quite the looker. He’s finally plump enough to be officially out of raisin stage -- he even has little dimples on his elbows! (source: http://www.epregnancy.com)

From This Moment

You guys are probably wondering why am I putting up this pic. So am I, honest. Probably this is triggered by shania twains's song that keeps on playing in my head since early morning. It gives me the urge to pen down my thoughts on marriage. The good and the bad. And now that it is the school holiday, arent you guys swamped with wedding invitations?? :) I love weddings. I love the good food, I love seeing the happy faces, I love the decor, and most importantly knowing that is the happiest day for the couple, is simply overwhelming. Like seeing a rainbow over mountains, with crystal clear waterfalls flowing underneath. Cold, refreshing, breathtaking sights.

I know I should stop hoping that hubby would be Mr. Lovey Dovey someday. That he'll never be one. Fact is, he is terrible at playing romantic scenes even if he strictly follows the dummy's guide for the anniversary dinner. He is a classic example of a typical malay guy, like those from the hang tuah's era, but living in a contemporary world. Hmm.. please! just dont get the wrong idea, this is not a regret, neither am I complaining.

Just that it'll be our anniversary comes x-mas, and still I have many more to learn about the guy I married 3 years ago. During the entire courtship, I have noticed all along that he is not the kind of guy that would run for the door and open it for you when you are about to enter the car, or even house. Or surprises you with flowers, though he did try it and failed miserably ha ha. That is of course after some of our private Pinocchio-telenovela just that instead of the nose, my pout got longer than the elephant trunk. I told him, u can easily tie a ribbon on my muncung coz dah panjang sgt already. Ha ha. And even with this tragic hu-ha, it didnt stop me from marrying him. I am still very much crazy about him!

Looking back, it has been quite a steep learning curve for both us to work out this marriage. We fought like other couples do, and strangely fell in love all over again. Now that is indeed challenging I must say. I keep pestering him for the honeymoon trip which is overdue for almost 3 years, in fact its going to be baby #2 soon, and yet there is no sign of any plan trip yet. Believe it or not, yes we never quite had that anticipated vacation together. Just the two of us. Maybe we will soon, but now with two daughters in tow next year. Coolness kan :) Having kids in a relationship is the best thing ever. Brought you closer together, and it gives you the strength you would move heaven and earth so that everything is perfect.

However, I will always have this thing to say about marriage. It aint easy, sometimes it makes you want to cry a million tears, but at the same time you just wanna smile, or laugh and most importantly you feel blessed with everything that you have. Funny how it works. But still, u cant get enough of it. Come to think about it, maybe it is because we are constantly looking for something that its not there, but along the way we have forgotten or overlooked on certain matters that are actually the strength in the relationship.

Like for instance, when I said I nearly got ran over by a van yesterday after buying breakfast (preggers can be super duper clumsy during the 3rd trimester u know!), hubby immediately drove me to that same stall again and accompany me for nasi lemak fix this morning. He cannot trust his stubborn and forgetful wife ahaks! And I told him yesterday that my feet hurt so much in the evening, and since my room is the farthest from the office, walking is unbearable (though I know I need to exercise more these days *somebody spank me please!*), so I skipped punching out from the office. He stopped by at the foyer when he fetched me yesterday and said, "tunggu jap ok, biar abg tolong punch". Sweet. Made pool in my eyes. And thinking of the many things he did for me, voluntarily, without having to ask, its just wonderful.

So ladies, sometimes its the smallest thing that matters. Too little for us to see, but send the warm message right through your heart. Like an invisible cupid's arrow. It doesn't have to be that super bling-bling colorful arrow that others would go ga-ga over it when they see it, it is really something that you have to feel yourself, better still w/out the needs of showing it to others. I guess the feelings are not much different for him, he may have other expectations which I have also failed to fulfill as the partner in crime. This is an on-going learning process. Furthermore, I guess its time to see whether we have done our best to be the person that our partner sees us. Hmm..after all, hubby/wifey is the true reflection of ourselves.

Alhamdulillah. 2008 has been a wonderful year, and hoping that it'll be even better next year! :)

p/s: aku kah yang panas, atau air-cond tiada lagi ari nih???

Girls Day Out

Just got back from a quick lunch at 1B with the girls. Its been a while since I last went out with them. Though it was sort of a brief get together, it was nonetheless 'fun'. Hmm.. most importantly, they made me feel younger (at heart ja la). Haha. Oh well, semua anak dara, aku sorang ja mak buyung. Kalau nda buleh juga tumpang sekaki berlakon jadi muda mudi dan made that kinky jelingan manja di sana sini. Kidding ;)

Selalu sgt, I will have lunch with hubby, the convenient of working at the same workplace :) I must say. But of course that routine of ours never restricted his times with his friends to which he will usually spend the AM coffee break with them. And furthermore I do, do appreciate having some precious moments with the girls, just that I feel a little old for them. Obviously, for some odd reasons, the instant feeling of out of place is there. Despite the age gap of 2-3 years, it just felt like I am coming from a decade earlier than them. If they have never heard about McGyver or MsComet series, then that would have confirmed my theory.

The striking difference with going out with married friends is of course on the topic itself which can range from the latest cd collection or everything concerning the kids+family. But of course, I enjoy both company. Married and single friends. I do agree that marriage can certainly change the friendship a bit, to a certain level maybe but as long we know how to fit ourselves in, not quite a big deal really. Kan? :) A contradiction to the previous paragraph. But honestly, this is how I felt.

Over lunch, I reminded them about the sales coinciding with the holiday season. And gaji pon awal juga, plus with the extra kah-cing this month, jgnla kamu lupa utk shop2 till you drop. :) Jgn la tunggu smpi nanti dah beranak pinak k.

Feeling like you need to kick ass this weekend? Layannnn ni... :)

Slow December

December is known to be a slow month with the semester break, and the coming soon festive season. Seeing more of red, white, and green decor at most shopping mall lobby is definitely switching us to holiday mode isnt it. Its time for a break for many of us kan. So, hujung minggu depan mula cuti selama dua minggu. Dah apply. Lama kah tu? Lantakla...So far, I have no plan for any vacation or whatsoever, maybe berehat di rumah ja la. I so needed it. Considering the EDD is fast approaching. :) So sebelum bukak semester baru juga, why not rest at home.

Sekejap ja tuh 2 weeks, before we know it, its already January. The students will be back. And, most importantly, I am turning 30 next year. Gulp..Alamak... Hopefully with less wrinkles (berangan???) but wiser. Buleh ka? He he. Alhamdulillah. Praise the Almighty. Life is indeed beautiful, despite the constant challenges and everything, I am grateful for what I have now. Turning 30, with 2 kids (InsyaAllah) and wonderful hubby, career wise is an A-ok! I couldnt ask for more. But hopefully I can speed up few things come next year :)

Hmm... SKT pon dah siap since last week, cuma masih berkira2 mau hantar.

Isk isk isk.. dah jadi tabiat betul, suka lah hai mengumpul sampah sarap. Especially benda2 kecil, sayang mau buang, takut nanti berguna pula. Last2 bilik mcm landfill. Dgn habuk toksah mau ckpla. I wanted to take some pics and put them in here, but macam kena landa ribut taufan ja bilik. Segan pula. He he

Berkemas sakan? Nesting instinct is it? But apa hal pula di ofis? Mcm kronik sbb kadang2 rasa mau buang semua perabot2 di dalam ofis, semak ja... Harap2 nda la, nanti jenuhla mau mengadap bos pula.

Maybe, sempena tahun baru nih, azam baru jugala. Bersihkan ofis nih, and kerja dgn semangat membara gitu. Ala-ala lagu faizal tahir tuh. Ntah apa tajuk nya, tapi dia tuh talented juga kan. Tak payahla pikirkan pasal masalah attitude dia tuh.

Oh yeah, Raya Haji was fine. Masakla sikit apa2 yg patut, and alhamdulillah berkorban juga tahun ini. Tragedi Bukit Antarabangsa tuh sungguh menginsafkan.

Ok, now back to sorting the papers. Isk..nda pandai abis2, heran juga...

Insiden Di Pagi Jumaat

Semalam, aku pandai-pandai ja mengajar junior aku utk menderhaka dgn cuti mc sahaja. Last2 pagi nih aku pula yang dapat mc. Ha ha...

Alkisahnya, di pagi jumaat yg bening nih, tiba2 jak melayang semangat aku dgn insiden seawal 8.30 tadi di cafe kg E. Dalam tak semena2, setelah membayar di kaunter dan on the way utk menuju ke kereta boleh pulak aku tergolek dok sorang2 di depan mamak roti canai tuh. Adush, dgn pertambahan berat badan melebihi 13 kg sejak pregnant nih mmg confirm la macam nangka busuk ja aku jatuh tadi. Bygkan momentum yg terhasil. Heran juga, padahal slow ja aku berjalan time tuh. Hensem sgt kah macha roti canai tuh sehingga mengganggu konsentrasi aku.

I landed on my tummy. Isk, dalam kepala time tuh, sudah jgnla terberanak di sini. Tolong la! Dalam pening lalat, sempat juga aku senyum2. Gila ka apa. Cover malu bah tuh. Tapi dalam hati risau pula jadi apa2 yg buruk. Syukurla no bleeding whatsoever, considering that cara jatuh and momentum yg drastik tuh. Ala2 ballistic entry angkasawan negara. Ha ha ha (okay exaggerating here). Pastu, cuba bangun sendiri, alamak.. tidak dapat la pulak. I guess maybe I was still very much shocked and pening. Naisb baikla, ada org2 yg kat situ (yg pastinya ramai mengerumuni aku) menolong mengangkat aku yg sama berat dgn seekor anak gajah ni.

Then, duduk sekejap. Hilangkan pening, and cepat2 ciao dari situ. Alhamdulillah, asides from bruises di lutut and lengan, no bleeding or apa2 yg teruk. So, I call hubby bila sampai kereta. Tengah berpikir2 lagi samada mau ke klinik atau tidak. Buleh lagi bah begitu. Ya la, kalau sakit sgt x kan la pulak aku buleh driving lagi. But, just to be sure, kami pon pigi juga to the nearest clinic. I dont like the idea of a male doctor looking at my tummy but what choice do I have. Pigi la juga jumpa Dr. Prem tuh. Scanned the baby and alhamdulillah, the placenta is still intact. Cuma dia pesan, watch out for any sign of bleeding tu jak. And besides, baby is moving well so nothing to worry.

He gave me an mc today, and a complimentary maternity toothpaste too. He he. Bagusla, yg di rumah pon dah abis, mcm tau2 jak dia. Just to console me, maybe. Because with my red nose and swollen eyes he can see clearly I was crying a moment ago. Isk berabis sudah aku lap2 mata and bertenang tadi. Hehe. Maybe I was still in shocked and worried about the baby. Ya lor, thinking about falling flat on my tummy while I am in my 8 mths now is too much for me. He said I should go home and rest. Tapi aku nih nda x reti2 juga...here I am still in the office. Maybe petang nantila pulang, awal sikit.

Bila fikir2 balik, agaknya menimbun sudah dosa aku for the past few weeks nih, tuhla jadi begini. Asyik marah org tuh dan org ini. Students pon nda terkecuali, kesian dorang. Atau pon this is one way of telling me to take a break. I should rest before the anticipated month comes, which is january actually.

Bah mana sudah tuh borang cuti?? Thinking of having a 2 weeks break :) I guess I am prepared to....

Twilight

Psstt... best ka cerita nih?? Heard a lot of good reviews..
